February 12, 1939 – January 8, 2025

On Wednesday January 8, 2025,  in “Jimbo’s” 86th year, the love story of reuniting with his “Dodo” has come to a remarkable conclusion as he joins the love of his life Dorothy (nee McMaster). The story began as prom queen marrying professional baseball player. The legacy of a loving family continued with Danny and Terre, Julie Ann and Cam followed by grandchildren Mitchell, Macgregor, Mattie, Emerson, Cooper, Brodan, Sawyer, Megan (Nick and Brooklyn) and Coleman(Ness). He is survived by his brother Richard Lawrence. Predeceased by sister Verlee and brother Norm. Jimbo was known for his infectious laughter, big smile, and a lover of life. His greatest love was family. Jim, along with his wife Dorothy, were co-owners of Lawrence’s Sports for 31 years, serving the community he loved. As a family, we have received many kind words of how Dad’s wonderful smile, laughter and endless hugs will be remembered. Thank you to the visiting nurses, PSW’s and family/friends who helped Dad remain living in his own home and to Stedman Hospice who heightened his quality of life during his final days. A celebration of life will take place on  Friday January 17, 2025, 2-5 p.m. (words of remembrance at 3 p.m.) at the Caledonia Lions Hall, 100 Haddington St. Caledonia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stedman Community Hospice, Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice or Caledonia Hardball Association. “Until the Twelfth of Never”. Services entrusted the Miller Funeral Chapel, 28 Caithness St. E., Caledonia, 905-765-2712. Friends are invited to send condolences and sign the Book of Memories at www.millerfuneralchapel.ca.
