Suddenly at home on Tuesday June 6, 2023, Elaine “The Boss” at the age of 72 years. Beloved wife of 52 years to Bill “The Capt’n” Meehan. Loving mother of Bob, and Kathy. Dear sister to Betty Ann and Don Laidlaw, and Gail and Don Doughty. Dear sister-in-law to Sharon and Bob Sherk, Lynne and the late Don Simington, and Charlene Meehan and the late Grant Hempell. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. “The Boss” will be missed by many friends especially “The Gang” and the “Woodlawn Family”. Elaine shared her time and talents knitting dolls for WHGH emergency department and sewing for South Coast Community Care for Cancer, along with her other volunteer commitments. The Capt’n is left to navigate the challenging waters ahead without his First Mate. A private family gathering was held at Hyde & Mott Chapel, Hagersville. A Celebration of Elaine’s Life will be held at the Hagersville Legion, 5 Alma St. N. on Thursday June 15th from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. A time of sharing and reflection will be at 5 p.m. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the West Haldimand General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. www.rhbanderson.com
