Peacefully, surrounded by his family, The Lord called home, His son Bryan Harold Melick, from Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, on Sunday June 16, 2024 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Joan Melick (Bell). Loving father of Julia Simmons, Tara Houser (Michael Lerner) and Brett Melick. Cherished grandfather of Sadie Pew, Ashton Simmons, Madeline Houser, Hayley Simmons and Gretel Houser. Bryan will be fondly remembered by his siblings Robert (Val) Melick, Jan (Mel) Lovering and Elaine Battle and his mother-in-law Jean Bell. Bryan is predeceased by his parents Birdsall and Joyce Melick (Walker), father-in-law Ken Bell and brother-in-law Bill Battle. A special thank you to the staff at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion Bryan received in his final days. Friends are invited to visit with family on Tuesday June 25, 2024, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the South Cayuga Community Church, 6182 Rainham Road, Dunnville. A funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. In memory of Bryan, a donation to the South Cayuga Community Church or the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital would be greatly appreciated by his family.
