Leaving behind the legacy of love, kindness and cherished memories. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Lint) Richardson, peacefully at the farm on Thursday, January 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving wife of Grant of 57 years, amazing mother to Jason (Denise), Aaron (Shannon), Andrew (Jenelle), Matthew (Julie). Special Grandmother to Brant (Maddy), Victoria, Hayley, Tanner, Jarret, Dallas, Dakota and Dawsyn. Loving little sister to Louise (2023) (John) (2001), Stan (2005) (Joan) (2023), Skip (2018) (Jean), Elmer (2019) (Florine), Jennie May (Don) (2016), Alex (2023) (Ellen), and Tony (Ruthanne) (2018). Survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends and sister-in-law Edna (Keith). Along with being Grant’s right hand for all those years on the family farm, she also volunteered her time on many church committees and various service groups. She was a School Board trustee for 9 years, an avid hockey mom to four boys. She was always willing to lend a hand to help in anything she could do. A true thoughtful, compassionate lady like none other, who deeply loved her family. We would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Maida and her staff, to all of the Nurses and Doctors who cared for her on the Oncology floor of St. Catharine’s Hospital. A big thank you to C.B.I. Health Nursing to all of Bay Shore scheduler’s and P.S.W.’s, who helped her to be able to stay in her home. As well thank you to all the people who prayed, who made food, sent well wishes and homemade cards, phone calls and texts. To those special people who went out of their way to provide care and direction for Dorothy’s health along the way, you will never be forgotten. Big heart felt thanks to Reverend Dawn Ballantyne for her love and compassion for Dorothy and her entire family through her journey.
