Carolyn (Carol) Emily Ricker of Millgrove passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at the age of 73, at Alexander Place, Waterdown. Loving mother of Steven. Cherished grandma (Nana) to Aaron David and Tyler Gordon. Sister to David, and sister-in-law to Linda. Carol will be missed and remembered by her friends and family. Predeceased by her parents, Walter and Emily (nee Slack); her sister, Matilda (Tillie); brother, John; sister-in-law, Darlene; and brother-in-law, Ross. Carol, born in Hamilton, grew up on her family farm just outside of Millgrove. She loved horses, reading, drawing, and laughing. That’s how she would like to be remembered: “A good laugh to brighten your day.” She worked as a hairdresser (Fashion 22) and as a floral arranger (Nyland Wholesale). Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1895 Main St. W., Hamilton, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., followed by a reception to celebrate Carol’s life at Flamborough Baptist Church, 41 Concession 5 E, Millgrove, from 2-4 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
