Peacefully at Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford on Sunday July 30, 2023 at the age of 92 years. Husband of the late Verna Ann (Long) Sommer. Step-father of Gary. Step-grandfather of Kyle, Kelly, and Brandilee. Brother of Alie, Bill, Hank, Jane, Anne, Ron, Mary, and the late Metje, Cathy, Murray, Joanne, Harry, and Rita. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Frank will be lovingly remembered by special friend & care giver Joanne. He immigrated to Canada from Holland at the age of 18 years, and was very involved in his community as a volunteer firefighter and many other activities. A graveside service will be held at Kohler Cemetery on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 1 p.m. A light lunch to follow at Shelley’s. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to West Haldimand General Hospital Foundation or to the Stedman Community Hospice.
