With heavy hearts but profound gratitude for a long life well-lived, the family announces the passing of Peggy Stallwood on October 29, 2026, at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, in her 93rd year. Mom was a fiercely independent woman who spent her life building a home in our community. She faced life’s challenges with absolute resilience, including a brave victory over health battles thirteen years ago that showcased her incredible strength. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Debbi (Ken); her sons, Greg (Cheryl) and Glenn (Cindy). Predeceased by her husband, James; sons Gary (Liz) and Geoff. She leaves behind a beautiful, sprawling legacy as the cherished grandmother of 5 grandchildren, the proud great-grandmother of 17, and the great-great-grandmother of 5. Her family brought her immense comfort and peace in her final days. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the extraordinary nursing staff, Dr. Kamouna, and floor doctors at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital for their exceptional comfort care, dignity, and compassion. A private family graveside service will take place, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, James, who predeceased her nine years ago.
