TOUESNARD, Marlene nee: McBride

In loving memory of Marlene Elva Touesnard (McBride), who went to heaven on December 29th, with family by her side, just three days shy of her 73rd birthday. Marlene will be greatly missed by her husband, Ivan, of 52 years. Loving mother to Louise (John) Townsend, and Lisa (Wayne) Pender. She is a very proud grandma of Alyssah, Lindsay, and Braden. Dear sister to Wayne (Lisa) McBride, and the late Dwight (late Donna) McBride. Sister-in-law to Ernie (Vicky), Tony (Judy), Millie (Fred), Wayne (Edwina), Albert (late Janice), Martin (Betty), Marilyn (late Roy), Lorraine (late Pat), late Betty Ann (late Wilfred), late Johnny, late David, and Phyllis. She will be lovingly remembered by many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Marlene was born in Hagersville on January 1, 1951, to parents, Howard and Mae McBride. She went on to raise a family, and began a 31-year long career as a ward clerk at the West Haldimand General Hospital. Marlene was very passionate about serving the community, as evidenced through many years of volunteering with the Hagersville United Church, West Haldimand General Hospital Auxiliary, Hagersville Skating Club, and minor ball. Her legacy is one of unwavering love and faith. To her, the church was more than just a place of worship, it was a second home where she found solace and purpose. She was a true servant of God, and her life a testament to her faith. Above all, Marlene was the heartbeat of the family and her love formed the cornerstone of our family’s strength. The family honoured her life with visitation at Hyde & Mott Chapel, R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main Street South, Hagersville on Sunday December 31, 2023 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.  A Celebration of Life was held at the Hagersville United Church, 34 Main St. S., Hagersville on Monday January 1, 2024 at 1 p.m.  Cremation to follow.  www.rhbanderson.com
