On Saturday, March 15, 2025, our dear Hazel was taken into her heavenly Father’s arms. She now has her heavenly citizenship. Hazel was born on January 31, 1941, to John Evans and Hazel Chivers. She was placed into the loving care of foster parents Edith and Edward Nablo. Hazel is predeceased by all parents and her husband Raymond George Winchester. Hazel was known for her unique personality and stubborn determination and quick smile. She loved her Saviour and Lord and was quick to share her faith whenever possible. She enjoyed singing her favourite hymns of praise, many times along with the Chuck Wagon Gang. She will be missed by friends Mike and Dianne, Don, Paul and Lynn, Virginia, Jenny, Betty, Rhea and Betty. Special thanks to the staff of The Hon. Ray and Helen Lawson, Eventide Home, Niagara Falls, Major Donna, Dr. McGarry and Dr. Nova for your gentle, loving and spiritual care of Hazel. A funeral service will be held for Hazel at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fisherville on Thursday May 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Trinity Lutheran cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Eventide Nursing Home, Heart and Stroke or any charity of your choice.
