Argyle Bridge work to begin by end of April, single lane & full closures

CALEDONIA—The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has installed a sign on Argyle Street in Caledonia to give notice of upcoming bridge work from April to August 2019. No construction is taking place at the bridge yet, although it is expected to begin “late April”, said Christina Martin of MTO West Region.

Martin added that the MTO is still in “the process of retaining a contractor to complete structural repairs to the underside of Argyle Street Bridge … The repair work planned is necessary to ensure the bridge remains safe and reliable for use by local road users until the new bridge is available to traffic.”
