Art consultations

HALDIMAND—In September 2024, Haldimand County initiated community consultations for the development of a Public Arts and Culture Strategy. On January 30, 2025, the final two in-person sessions will be hosted to review outcomes of the first sessions and determine any additional considerations.

The sessions are taking place at the Cayuga Arena’s McSorley Family Hall from 2-4 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. No registration is required.

“We are very fortunate to live in a community that is filled with creative, diverse, and talented individuals and groups who work and/or volunteer in the arts, culture, and heritage sectors,” said Mayor Shelley Ann Bentley. “The vibrancy, tourism opportunities, and economic benefit they provide to our communities are very much appreciated.”

Following the in-person sessions, residents, community groups, and local arts organizations can also provide input through an online survey.
