Athletes will often enter a competition simply to measure their level of fitness or to gauge their improvement.

Two members of Athletiques International Track and Field Club in Cayuga took huge advantage of the Ontario Track & Field Finale at York University on December 29, 2018 by doing not only that, but also catapulting themselves into the National Indoor Rankings.
