CAYUGA—Championship season is upon us for track and field, and local athletes used the CANUSA Games, a regular meet between teams from Canada and the USA, as final preparation.
Caitlyn Thompson of Cayuga, 15, can claim a CANUSA title for 80m hurdles as a result of her new personal record (PR) of 13.42s. She also stood at the top of the podium for shot put (8.35m PB with 4kg shot) and long jump (4.6m).
