HAGERSVILLE—A pandemic may not seem like the ideal time to start a new business, but for Treena Hogeveen of Hagersville, the timing was just right to open Betty’s Castaways in Simcoe.
Hogeveen co-owns the thrift store with her friend Donna Atkinson. The duo share a passion for thrift shopping and flea markets and Hogeveen says that she has always wanted to open a thrift store. She adds, “We wanted to open in this community with reasonable prices for quality goods.”
