CALEDONIA—The OPP announced Thursday, March 19, 2020 that demonstrators who had been blocking the Highway 6 bypass in Caledonia were clearing the area of barricades.
The following day the OPP worked with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) to remove the concrete barriers that were installed by the MTO as a safety precaution. The road remained closed, however, for an additional day as the MTO performed a complete inspection of the road and bridges along the bypass.
