Caledonia bottle drive raises $3K for food bank
CALEDONIA—The Caledonia BIA recently held a bottle drive and raised $3,475 for the Caledonia Food Bank. “Looking at the COVID glass as half full, it was perfect timing for a bottle drive,” said Caledonia BIA Coordinator Kathy Marshall. “People were off and having ‘happy hour’. Also, dropping bottles off at the BIA was more convenient than waiting in line at the Beer Store. People also wanted to help and support the food bank and the drive provided an opportunity.” Shown is Craig Peters and Ian Haynes, bottle drive volunteers, at the BIA Greens on Caithness Street East in Caledonia. —Photo courtesy of Kathy Marshall.
