Caledonia businessman announced president of Million Dollar Round Table

CALEDONIA—The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Charitable Foundation of Canada is pleased to announce that Michael Evers of Caledonia has been unanimously elected to serve as president.

“I’m a little in awe. I thought maybe I bit off a little more than I can chew,” said Evers. “It’s a great cause though and there are great people involved with it, so I think my job will be a little easier than I thought.”

The MDRT Foundation provides financial support for worthy grass-roots causes across Canada, from food banks to programs to get kids off the street and everything in between. It is funded entirely from donations from Canadian MDRT members and the companies with which they do business.

“We had our best year ever last year and we’re hoping to do considerably better this year for fundraising and donations granted,” said Evers, adding that his main goal moving forward will be to keep all of the board members engaged and motivated, which can be difficult as they are all across Canada. “I want to start sending out YouTube clips of the places that we’ve helped fund … so they can see the change in the world. We’re doing a lot of great things.”
