Caledonia Catch the Ace jackpot surpasses $71K

CALEDONIA—The Community Support Centre of Haldimand Norfolk is continuing its search for the ace of spades every Thursday at the Caledonia Legion. At left, John Walk collected his winnings from Week 18, having won $3,110 after finding the 10 of clubs in envelope 31. Last week, Linda Harnett won $3,616 after pulling the queen of clubs with envelope 12. With 30% of each week’s ticket sales going to the progressive jackpot, it is now over $71,000. The remainder of the funds go to the weekly winner (20% of the weekly sales) and 50% of the weekly sales support the Community Support Centre of Haldimand Norfolk. CALEDONIA—The Caledonia Legion is hosting a 50/50 draw concurrently with the Catch the Ace draw every Thursday. Last week’s winner was Lori Jones, who won $1,947.50. The Legion posted to Facebook on August 27, “In the last 15 weeks the Legion – thanks to you – has raised $38,105, has given out $19,052.50 in cash prizes, has raised $15,000 for local charities.
