CALEDONIA—There are certain things that come to mind when one thinks of the Caledonia Fair – the midway and demolition derby, livestock shows and agricultural displays, the exhibition hall and, of course, the food. For many volunteers, vendors, and exhibitors, there’s also Vickie Peart, who has recently retired as manager after 43 years in the Caledonia Fair office.
For Peart, the Caledonia Fair is a family affair and truly a way of life. Her grandfather was president in the 1930s and both her parents were members with her father, Emerson, serving as president in 1975 and 76.
