Caledonia Midget BB among 110 co-champions after finals cancelled

CALEDONIA—After the recent cancellation of all Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) finals due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the OMHA is making the most of a difficult situation and awarding the title of co-champion and presenting its highly sought-after #RedHats to all the teams that reached the finals of the OMHA Playdowns, presented by Egg Farmers of Ontario.

“Our goal is to be positive and proactive in a trying environment by rewarding the players and teams who deservedly made it that far through the highly competitive Playdowns,” says Ian Taylor, OMHA Executive Director. “It’s a simple gesture, but hopefully a meaningful one, as well.”

On this list is the Caledonia Thunder Midget BB team, who played their last game on March 7, 2020.
