Caledonia resident launches virtual cooking classes
CALEDONIA—Rabi’s Grand Kitchen has kicked off virtual cooking classes with live, interactive sessions. The classes take place on Zoom, with the next classes running December 20-22, 2020 from 10 to 11 a.m. “Let’s celebrate our festive season with my savoury snacks, which are nutritious, healthy, and tasty,” said owner Rabiya Azeez (shown left). “Let’s have fun learning together, create our snacks, and surprise our family and friends.” The next set of classes will cover vegetarian samosas and pakoras, chicken samosas with date chutney, and beef cutlets. Those interested in joining the class can e-transfer $25 to rabiyamt@yahoo.com and recipes and instructions will be emailed to you prior to class starting. Already Azeez is grateful for the support seen in her first classes, stating, “I am indebted to my community.” She hopes to grow the classes, which will eventually return to in-person sessions when able, so she may give back to the community and help “empower our vulnerable people.” —Submitted photo.
