CALEDONIA—On November 21, 2022 at the Caledonia South Tim Hortons, Owner Rachel Salverda presented Dennis Zebiere, Past President and Poppy Project Chair of the Caledonia Legion, with a donation of $500. These funds were collected over the course of two days with staff asking patrons if they would like to add a donation to their bill. Salverda says, “People were more than happy to donate knowing it was going to the Caledonia Legion.” Zebiere was grateful for the donation and explains, “It supports our capability to support veterans and now younger veterans living with PTSD by helping to provide them with support dogs and access to other related programs.” —Haldimand Press photo by Joanne Dorr.
