CAYUGA—Several people were looking forward to the time that Cayuga’s Caitlyn Thompson, 15, would have the chance to show what the local track and field athlete could do against the best of her age at the Ontario High School level. Unfortunately, for her and several thousand others, there have been no school sports of any kind for two seasons because of COVID restrictions. That doesn’t mean, however, that she has gone unnoticed.
