Cayuga Novices & Juveniles finding success in OMHA Playdowns

To The Haldimand Press

CAYUGA—Cayuga Minor Hockey’s Novice and Juvenile teams are both still in the hunt for an OMHA championship.

The Novice Rep team, made up of 7 and 8-year-old players from Cayuga and the surrounding area, played St. George in their semi-final round and are now scheduling the final series against Dresden. This season’s playdowns are notable as this is the last year for Novice hockey as it has been played in the past. Hockey Canada has been making changes to the format of hockey for this age group and it will be the last time the provincial trophy is presented.
