Cayuga parents celebrate CSS graduates on the road
CAYUGA—With many 2020 grads preparing to leave for college or university next week, members of the Cayuga Secondary School (CSS) graduating class held a car procession through Cayuga on the evening of Friday, August 28, 2020 to commemorate the rite of passage. The event was planned by parents Jen Smith and Sara Stewart after Stewart saw similar processions on Facebook. Smith says, “We thought it would be a great thing to do for the grads.” Above, pictured (l-r): Brooke Gillyatt will be attending University of Guelph while Amber Swent and Jackie Easson are headed to nearby Kitchener-Waterloo to attend Wilfrid Laurier and University of Waterloo, respectively. 1. I wish everyone who was there and participated would’ve been in the featured photo

    1. Hello, we understand this sentiment. Unfortunately, with the current circumstances, it is more complicated to gather a large number of people close together for a photo. Depending on the size of the group, it can also be difficult to print that kind of photo at a reasonable size that you can still see everyone’s faces. We appreciate your feedback.
