On Saturday, December 7, 2024 the town of Dunnville held their annual Santa Claus parade. The route was filled with those both young and young at heart awaiting the arrival of Santa. Santa and Mrs. Claus visit with (back) Summer (12), Nevaeh (5), and Sterling (4) Swent. This event was followed by a day full of Christmas activities across Dunnville.
DUNNVILLE—Following the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus helped the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation (DHHF) light the 25-foot ‘Tree of Hope’ at the Dunnville Farmers’ Market. Shown with them is Volunteer Laurie Huisman, DHHF Interim Executive Director Sandie Heirwegh, and DHHF Donor Relations & Financial Specialist Rachel Schmalz with sons Bryce and Chase. Mapleview Elementary School choir made the tree lighting extra special with their performance. The DHHF Trees of Hope Campaign runs until Dec. 31, with all donations supporting equipment for Haldimand War Memorial Hospital & Edgewater Gardens. DUNNVILLE—On Saturday, December 7, 2024 the annual Breakfast with Santa was held at the Dunnville Community and Lifespan Centre. Hosted by the Dunnville Lions Club, this event brings an enjoyable and affordable kickoff to Christmas for families big and small. Each child had a chance to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and then chose a stuffed toy to take home.
