HAGERSVILLE—Just four days after Zoey Gilbertson was born, her parents, Rebecca and Tyler, knew she was very sick. Following their discharge from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Rebecca recalls that Zoey became very lethargic and appeared jaundiced. She explains that her daughter wasn’t tolerating breast milk at all, so they returned to the hospital where Zoey remained for 10 days.
