Public works department releases annual report

The Haldimand County Public Works Department has released its annual report highlighting their accomplishments in 2019 and laying out their priorities moving forward. The department is responsible for Environmental Operations, Fleet Operations, Roads Operations, and Facilities, Parks, Cemeteries and Forestry Operations.

Some of the many goals for 2020 include reviewing waste diversion efforts at Haldimand County facilities, reviewing data related to the rural curbside leaf and yard waste collection pilot program, enhanced maintenance at Port Maitland park to meet higher demand, an upgrade of the County’s fuel depots, developing a County-wide strategy for improved winter maintenance, and looking for ways to improve the County’s sidewalk infrastructure.
