HALDIMAND—Council members voted unanimously last week to give signing authority to Mike Evers, General Manager of Community and Development Services for the County, or a designate on agreements related to various construction projects.
According to a report, the change would result in time savings and provide greater efficiency for the administrative functions associated with certain Planning Act application processes. Additionally, Evers will have authority over other processes administered by the Planning & Development Division. Another stated reason for the change is eliminating delays in projects due to the pre-existing Council schedule.
