HALDIMAND—Haldimand County councillors passed a motion which will allow all non-union County staff to join their union counterparts in observing the newly created National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, which will take place on September 30 this year and every year going forward. The expected cost to give the approximately 75 workers the day off, including premium pay to any workers in the paramedic or nursing fields, is approximately $28,000.
