HALDIMAND—Haldimand Federation of Agriculture (HFA) President Henk Lise appeared before Council last week, flanked by Manager of Emergency Services Jason Gallagher, to educate Council members about The Emily Project and seek the County’s backing to begin rolling it out across Haldimand County.
The Emily Project is inspired by a young girl, Emily Trudeau of Hasting County, Ontario, who tragically died after first responders had difficulty locating her after an on-farm accident on a vacant lot without proper signage.
