HALDIMAND—At the September 14, 2021 Council in Committee meeting, members will be presented with a report looking to rename three County-owned assets in honour of late residents deserving of such recognition.
“Requests to name a County asset can come from anyone … and, in accordance with the policy, require a review/assessment by staff based on specific criteria, a period of public notification of the proposed name change (in this case August 19 to September 2), and a report to Council with the details of the request,” explained Katrina Schmitz, Manager of Community Development and Partnerships for the County.
