HALDIMAND—Following a prolonged campaign by the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) community, Health Canada approved the drug Trikafta for use by CF patients aged 12 years and older last week.
“It took the power of community and everyone getting LOUD about the fight,” said Jacob Jarmillo, Founder of CF Get Loud, a grassroots campaign advocating for the CF community and widespread access to the drug. The Press previously reported on local CF patients seeking the drug’s approval.
