Despite restrictions, DHHF golf tourney a huge success

DUNNVILLE—On Friday, September 25, 2020 the 36th annual Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation (DHHF) Golf Tournament hosted by Canadian Tire was held at Freedom Oaks Golf Club.

Though it looked and felt different this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event was a “huge success” said Penny Banks, Executive Director of DHHF, adding, “Golf is a great sport for social distancing.”

All participants were advised ahead of time about social distancing protocols that would be adhered to during the tournament, such as masks, hand sanitizing, and the sanitizing of golf carts between groups. She added, “We split the tournament into two (morning and afternoon) and reduced the number of teams we allowed to play. It was an incredible day for a golf tournament in support of the Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation.”
