Dog guide visits local school

HAGERSVILLE—Elmer the guide dog visited Hagersville Elementary School recently to show the students his specialized skills.

Elmer does many things to help his owner, including retrieving items, helping her stand, and barking for help in emergency situations.

Elmer encouraged the kids to come out and participate in the Lions Walk for Dog Guides.

The Hagersville walk is on May 11, 2019 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Hagersville Park. For more information, contact John Harvey at 905-768-3498 or harv@optionsdsl.ca.
