CAYUGA—Ayla (7), Kailey (10) and Dax (2) Shaw hunt for eggs at the Third Annual Cayuga Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Community Living Haldimand on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Despite spring flurries, more than 100 children enjoyed indoor and outdoor activities, and families helped collect over 240 pounds of food for local food banks.

DUNNVILLE—On the beautiful Sunday before Easter, Julie Marchese of Julia’s Old Fashion Christmas Charity presented an egg-cellent event for families.

She and her crew had the Easter Bunny show up a week early to preside over an egg hunt, games and other activities, plus a free hot dog lunch at the Optimist Club of Dunnville.
Marchese said she likes to help make people happy, and was inspired by her dad, who was always there to help others when she was growing up in Hamilton.
Marchese thanked all of her hard-working volunteers, the donors and those who attended the event.
