HALDIMAND—The years-long struggle to get Haldimand County into the 21st century and connected to reliable, high-speed internet seems to be nearing its end, with numerous installation projects underway across the region.
This progress follows a turnaround from the County, which backed Simcoe-based internet service provider (ISP) KWIC Internet in 2020 in a massive expansion project to create a county-wide fibre network before quietly cancelling the project the following year.
