HAGERSVILLE—Since the beginning of the pandemic in March, West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) has “felt the love” from the community. From donations of personal protective equipment, coffee, and meals, a serenade of bag pipes, to the wonderful messages of kindness, the community showed incredible gratitude to our frontline health care heroes. It is exactly this kindness and an awareness of the challenges faced by the most vulnerable in our community during this unprecedented time that spurred WHGH and Haldimand County to hold a “Fill a Truck” Food Drive. Haldimand County EMS and WHGH staff teamed up on December 16, 2020 at WHGH to help collect much-needed food for both Hagersville and Jarvis food banks. —Submitted photo.
