Fisherville District Lions to hold modified annual golf tournament

FISHERVILLE—With COVID-19 putting a damper on things, the Fisherville District Lions Club cannot host its 14th annual golf tournament the way it has done in the past. However, their members, along with Brian Bedini of Cayuga Golf Club, feel it is important to still have something traditional even with the social distancing rules that are in place.

“This will give people a break from the stress of COVID,” said co-chairs Lion Clayt Spears and Lion Carl Schweyer, adding that the event will not be so much of a money raising day, but is instead intended to shine a light on our great community.

The Lions plan to hold a somewhat modified tournament and are calling it A Celebration of Community – A Day of Golf with The Fisherville District Lions. The rules for the event are specific to what has been imposed on Cayuga Golf Club as of mid-June.
