FISHERVILLE—After months of rehearsal, opening night of the Fisherville Lions Clubs’ 66th annual show is just one week away. “It’s all about the 50s!” says show director Bill Roth. The theme is in honour of the Club’s charter year, which was 1955. Along with classic jukebox tunes, good natured jokes and stories, and fun-filled skits, audiences can look forward to the sale of nuts and bolts and caramel corn to raise funds for charity. Performances are March 27, 28, and 29 at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are going fast: contact Walt Schaeffer at 519-587-2353. As they celebrate 70 of Lions in Fisherville, Roth says, “It’s truly happy days!” —Haldimand Press photo by Sheila Phibbs.
