FISHERVILLE—The Fisherville Lions hosted their second annual Festival of Lights. Five winners were chosen from the 20 entries received, with each winner receiving a $100 prize courtesy of the Fisherville Lions.
The winners are as follows:
- Wray and Helen Schumacher, 5 Erie Ave. N.
- Emma Jean Bacher, 21 Main Ave. W.
- Joanne and Bob Kiefer, 596 Conc. 5
- Laurie and Peter Cocking, 178 Conc. 3
- Pat and Chris Yent, 8 Erie Ave. S.
Lion Julie Fleet said, “All other entrants went into a draw to win prizes donated by some of our local businesses. We had enough donations to ensure that each family won a prize!”
Judging was done December 15-17, 2022, with prizes handed out December 20 at the Fisherville Lions Hall.
“There is going to be a People’s Choice prize donated by Toppline Design and Photography where the general public votes for their favourite photo from non-cash winners. Just to stretch the festivities to December 23,” added Fleet. “We encourage any and all residents of Fisherville to enter next year. Whether you have one string of lights or a dozen blow ups … we’d like to see everyone enter!”
