FISHERVILLE—The Fisherville Lions presented Marilyn Rohrbach with the Melvin Jones Fellowship award, the highest honour it can bestow upon an individual, for her contributions to Lions and the community. Lion Russell Jepson stated, “Marilyn has been a vital member of her church, from singing in the choir to chairing and cooking for many fundraisers. As a dedicated community member she has baked and donated lots of goodies for many causes.” Rohrbach has assisted the Fisherville Lions with the variety show, fish fries, stag nights and beef dinners. Jepson added, “She is an excellent leader in the kitchen with her bright smile…. Personally I have always enjoyed working with and learning from her. Our club has benefitted so much from her service.” Rohrbach was visibly moved to receive the award saying, “This is the most honoured I have ever been. It just humbles you that the Lions think that much of you.” Marilyn Rohrbach is pictured sitting next to her husband Lion Ray Rohrbach.
