FISHERVILLE—Since the spread of COVID-19 was deemed a pandemic by the World Health Organization, countries around the world have been going into lockdown, but artists have found a way to bring a little hope and fun to those staying in their homes by performing live online.
One of these artists is Gary Rothwell from Fisherville, who has begun performing for free on Facebook Live.
Rothwell has played up to four or five nights a week in the past. As a volunteer firefighter at Station 12 in Fisherville, he slowed down to playing every second weekend. Due to the pandemic however, all of Rothwell’s shows have been cancelled, and he was getting messages from people who missed watching him play.
