DUNNVILLE—Twelve volunteers from the Dunnville Rotary Club and Dunnville Optimist Club collected non-perishable foods, cash donations, and bottles and cans on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

By the end of the event, 500 pounds of food and 3,000 cans and bottles were collected. In total, $637.80 was collected through cash donations and empties returned to the beer store. The food and cash donations were given to the food bank while the remaining funds will go to Rotary Community Projects.

“Once again Dunnville really supported the community. It was great. An estimated 75 or more people showed their support for the event. The day was a great success,” continued Crysler. “And a big thanks to James Richardson and the Farmers’ Market for partnering with Rotary and Optimist Clubs to allow us to set up. It really is a win-win for all concerned. We look forward to partnering with the Farmers’ Market again to make this a twice yearly event.”

The next scheduled Rotary event is the Youth Dance on October 14. To learn more, visit dunnvillerotary.ca and for the Optimist events visit optimistclubofdunnville.portalbuzz.com. Crysler concluded, “Thanks again to Dunnville for your great support.”
