SIMCOE—OPP’s Haldimand-Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has arrested four individuals following a drug investigation in Simcoe.
On July 21, 2022, members of the CSCU executed a search warrant at a home on Head Street South in Simcoe and arrested four people without incident.
Police seized a quantity of cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, along with mobile phones, scales, and packaging.
The first arrest, a 36-year-old of Port Dover, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts)
- Possession of a controlled substance.
The second arrest, a 28-year-old of Simcoe, is charged under the CDSA with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts)
- Possession of a controlled substance (two counts).
The third arrest, a 50-year-old of Simcoe, is charged under the CDSA with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts).
The fourth arrest, a 38-year-old of Simcoe, is charged under the CDSA with:
- Possession of a controlled substance.
All four individuals will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
