DUNNVILLE—Bethany United Church held a garage sale and barbecue on Saturday, July 20, 2024. The event ran from 8 a.m. to noon, offering a variety of second-hand goods from home décor to toys and more. Barbecued hotdogs and bottled water were also available by donation, with many generous individuals enjoying an early lunch while shopping. One of the vendors, 7-year-old Roman Allen, sold his homemade cookies and lemonade with the help of his mom and younger brother Edwin; it was his first lemonade stand, and he plans to use the money to go to African Lion Safari with his family. The next fundraiser at Bethany United Church is an all-you-can-eat dinner with salad, ham, and cheese trays with a dessert. Tickets are $20 with two seatings at 4:30 and 6 p.m. on August 21.
