HALDIMAND—On Saturday, March 23, 2019 the Haldimand-Norfolk Junior Farmers (JF) club hosted volunteers, friends, family members, and alumni

Our club would like to sincerely thank all attendees for joining us for our Volunteer Appreciation dinner. This past year our club was able to run another successful week at the Norfolk county fair, which not only brought in more profits than expected, but memories that will last long after our JF career is done. Our members had the opportunity to work shoulder to shoulder in the food booth at the fair with some of our amazing alumni. We did this while loyal customers stopped in to reminisce about the good old days, all before singing the Junior Farmer song for a free milk to wash down the back bacon on a bun.

Without our awesome alumni, food booth week would not have been as successful or nearly as fun! So, thank you, you are truly appreciated!

This past year our club members also ran our annual road side cleanup, spending 6 hours along our adopted Highways 3 and 6. Club members worked hard to sort garbage from recycling, which was then later used in a bottle drive for the Haldimand Abilities Centre and Norfolk Women’s Services. With the money raised from the bottle drive and the overwhelming amount of support received at the food booth, we were able to donate $1,000 to each charity, as well as $500 to the Haldimand Beef Club for the Royal Winter Fair.
