Hagersville Chamber asks for missing ladders to be returned

HAGERSVILLE — Last Friday, members of the Hagersville and District Chamber of Commerce were busy moving items out of the former Community Centre to their new location when they discovered two ladders had been taken from the parking lot outside the centre.

The team had left three ladders unattended next to the diabetes donation bin outside of the centre for a period of roughly 30 minutes while they set about loading a truck. When they returned to collect them, two were gone.

Chamber President Rob Phillips estimated the value of the two ladders at around $500.

“Maybe, just maybe, someone assumed they were being discarded and once they learn of their mistake they will return them to their rightful owner,” he said.

The Chamber is asking anyone who may have information about the stolen ladders to reach out and contact them, or if the perpetrator has a change of heart and wants to return them, they can do so, no questions asked, by dropping them off at Heaslip Ford on King Street West.
