HAGERSVILLE—It’s hard to believe that we’ll be marking a second period of Lent in this seemingly unending pandemic! In March of 2020, we were almost half way through our Lenten services, when we were suddenly further challenged to restrict ourselves in ways much more severe than the strictest Lenten practices may have previously asked of us. In fact, it may seem to many that we have been experiencing a type of Lent, with loss of family contact, cancelled social gatherings, and changes to our daily routines due to maintaining small circles of contact for the last year.
