HAGERSVILLE—The Hagersville Lions’ Catch the Ace event is in its 21st week as of the draw on October 13, 2022.

All summer and now into fall we have played with many regulars and more and more new participants have enjoyed catching the ace with us.

The Hagersville Lions and the Hagersville Chamber of Commerce are holding this event every Thursday at the Hagersville Legion Br. 164.

We are selling tickets at the Legion from 4:30 to 7:50 p.m. The draw will be held that same evening at 8 p.m. and can be watched live on Facebook – you do not have to be there in person to win.

If the winner is not in the house, we will call and give you the good news over the phone.

There is a winner every week. Whoever’s ticket is being drawn will win 20% of the evening’s sales. So, if we take in $2,000 the weekly winner will walk home with $400, as an example.

Additionally, 30% of the evening’s sales will be added to the jackpot. And of course, the other 50% are funds raised for the West Haldimand General Hospital, the Hagersville Food Bank, and the Hagersville Lions.

We all win with this modified 50/50 lottery, and we have the thrill of chasing the ace.

The jackpot will be won once the ace of spades is drawn.

Come on over to the Legion on Thursday and join the fun, support our local causes, and give yourself a chance to win.
